Time, labor, and weight. The initial estimate will be based upon how much junk you have, how ready it is to go, and how much you help. You are not required to help, but it does well for the price, especially if there is a long distance between the junk and my truck. If I need to bring an extra person, that will be a minimum $50 charge on top. If I, or we, need to perform extra labor to get the junk into trash bags or other organizational labor before the trash goes in the truck, that can be another charge. Light yard waste that fills both trailer and truck will be less than heavy old appliances and equipment that fill both. If there are many heavy objects, such as bricks, stones, or multiple appliances, there may be an associated fee with the landfill. In a case like this, I will attempt to estimate that fee upfront. Heavy objects may incur an added fee from JC's Junk, but both these will be explained and decided upon up front. The typical cost for heavy stuff is $200 per ton. My truck and trailer filled can probably max out at 1 ton, so if you have heavy junk, plan on that. If there are multiple loads, there may be multiple landfill fees; 3 tons might be 3 landfill charges. If you have that much junk, I do have access to larger trucks to get those jobs done with fewer trips.

Not necessarily. If the job is straightforward and the junk is clearly displayed, you do not. In cases like this, we take care of payment up front. If there are complexities or if anything is unclear, we may opt for an in person briefing to avoid any miscommunication.

Yes. I may be pricey, but I am convenient. I'm easy to get along with, I hustle, and I'm a problem solver. I don't come out for less than $100. Your best bet for this is to find 2 to 3 things you need help with and we can negotiate. This can also be helpful for assistance to seniors or others living alone.

With a deposit, you get 1 reschedule, made at least 3 hours before the job is supposed to start. More time is courteous; the night before is well preferred. You can cancel it and you have 2 days to get back to me with a reschedule. If you miss the 2 day window, you lose your deposit. Once it's rescheduled, you cannot move it again. If it is less than 3 hours before the start of the job, your deposit goes down to $20. If you cancel within 1 hour, you lose your deposit. If you no call, no show me, you lose your deposit. I'll still come back and do the job, but you'll have to make another deposit. In a perfect world, nobody ever needs to reschedule and I don't have to be inconvenienced or take anyone's money for work not done.

At times, I may have to reschedule because of unforeseen circumstances at another job or at the landfill. On the rare occasion that the reschedule is because of my end, this of course will not affect your deposit or your 1 free reschedule.
